What started as a monthly clothing market for the locals grew to a national and international vintage platform. Most important the founders of DKM started their concept with one clear aim, to reduce the levels of waste generated by clothing production and to enhance the lifecycle of valuable garments.

De KLOFFIE Markt got known for organizing the first curated vintage and designer clothing events in the Netherlands. With participants and visitors from all over the world, DKM has created a sustainable movement in Amsterdam.

From hosting monthly events, DKM organised in 2019 twice De KLOFFIE Markt XL Edition, to create an even bigger impact. A 1000m2 heaven of curated pre-owned designer clothing, ethical labels and vintage treasures. Complemented with panel talks, live auctions and the screening of an exclusive documentary of Vivienne Westwood. With these events De KLOFFIE Markt created a unique experience to educate and engage the visitors with the concept of slow fashion. For the first XL Edition DKM partnered among others with Circl, a sustainable initiative of ABN AMRO.

DKM attracted with these events more than 160.000 visitors and gave more than 25.000 used garments a new life.

XL Editions April and November 2019

In 2019 DKM opened its first pop-up store in the city center of Amsterdam.

DKM Pop-Up Store

In September 2019 DKM launched its first re-made and pre-owned collection of DKM Archive in New York. This collection consists of existing original army, navy and utility wear collected from all over the world.

In 2020 DKM launched its new online store and showroom where DKM showcases a curated selection of vintage and pre-owned designer garments.
